Thursday 27th June 10am-1pm
Kids 7+ and adults welcome! (kids under 7 may attend if an adult accompanies them)
Join specialist art teacher, Kasia Janczewski from The Make Mistakes School of Art to sculpt Peculiar Places these school holidays at Where the Wild Things Are Bookshop, West End! Kasia will guide little and big artists through a range of art-making activities from her Term 2 art classes to create an imaginary clay shell, and bower-like cubby, that combines natural materials with industrial off-cuts.
Kids can participate independently or with a grown-up, and make art side-by-side to rediscover the joy of learning through ‘making mistakes’. Artists will explore the meaning and creation of place through sculpture, while learning how to manipulate a range of media to create texture, form and volume. Everyone will leave with two artworks, a tummy full of morning tea and their heart brimming with creativity!
$70 ticket includes morning tea.
