Welcome to our Winter Writing Competition! We would love to invite you to write a story these school holidays to submit into our competition.
You may write a tale of dragons and daring, or perhaps you will write about friends and school. All stories are welcome! This is a creative writing competition - the winner will be a story that tells itself well. Your writing style and language should suit the story you are telling. So, if you are writing a funny story set at school you don't need to use mysterious language that someone else may use to tell their murder mystery. As this is a short story writing competition your story may not have a normal beginning, middle or ending. Perhaps your story will start in the middle of the action, or your ending will be open and leave your readers with unanswered questions. However, if you do this it needs to be intentional and part of the story - you can't just leave us on a cliff hanger for no reason! Ultimately you should write a story that you love.
